Who We Are

The Star of 89 story began as a shared dream among three cousins and their supportive spouses, and has blossomed into a vibrant destination for people from all over the world to gather in the mountains of Star Valley Wyoming. Our mission is to make a significant impact on the business scene along Highway 89 in Star Valley, and help uplift and bring life to the town, and valley.

With this dream and mission in mind we set out to make the must stop place for locals and visitors to shop, eat, gather, and stay. As proud residents of this incredible area we are dedicated to supporting the local community. We strive to foster a warm and welcoming environment where visitors and locals alike can come together, explore our offerings, and discover the hidden treasures that make Wyoming so special.

We invite you to embark on a memorable experience at the Star of 89, where we share our passion for The West and celebrate the star that shines brightly along Highway 89.

Scott and Wendee

Scott and Wendee gave up the busy corporate life in Dallas Texas, and moved to Afton Wyoming in____. After visiting the majestic mountain valley, they fell in love with the charming small cowboy town steeped in western heritage, breathtaking sunsets, and friendly people. Both Scott and Wendee enjoy the slower pace and wide range of recreational activities afforded by this wonderful place.

Chad and Bethany

Chad and Bethany have a blended family of 2 children and many more grandchildren. They spent most of their marriage in Dallas too as owners and operators of a large orthodontic practice. They love it in Star Valley and truly consider this their home and are currently building a home in Turnerville Wyoming among the mountains that drew them into this place.

Owen and Aimee

Owen and Aimee reside in Highland Utah, but Star Valley is absolutely their happy place. Owen owned his own dental practice but has since retired from that line of work. After visiting their cousins, they fell in love with the valley and saw so much potential here. They’re looking to invest in Star Valley to keep it beautiful and thriving for the coming generations.
